Police looking for driver who hit bicyclist

Westminster Police are asking the public’s help in finding the driver of a vehicle who struck a bicyclist on Saturday night who was traveling south on Westminster Boulevard near the 9900 block.

The bicyclist was found by a passing motorist and the bicycle was found approximately 1,000 feet from bicyclist. Police said the driver of the vehicle who hit the victim did not notify police or remain at the scene.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Police do not have details of the vehicle’s make or model, but said the vehicle may have hood damage or right-passenger side headlight damage. There may also be damage to the windshield wipers.
