Weather permitting, the Colorado Department of Transportation will have ramp closures and lane restrictions at Wadsworth Parkway this weekend starting at 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 through 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. In addition, CDOT will be closing both eastbound and westbound US 36 underneath the Sheridan Boulevard bridge on the night of Sunday, Oct. 6, while crews place concrete for the deck of the bridge.
To complete the permanent connection of the ramps and align northbound traffic to the new Wadsworth Parkway bridge, the following ramps will be impacted:
• Full closure of the westbound US 36 off-ramp to Wadsworth Parkway
• Full closure of the northbound Wadsworth on-ramp to westbound US 36
• Single lane restriction on northbound Wadsworth
Crews will also be pouring the deck of the new Sheridan Boulevard bridge on Sunday, Oct. 6. This work requires a single lane restriction at 8 p.m. on Sunday night, and a full closure of eastbound and westbound US 36 from 11 p.m. through 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. Traffic will use the US 36 on- and off ramps at Sheridan Boulevard as the detour.
“We remain mindful of motorists and try to minimize traffic impacts as much as possible,” said US 36 Project Director Mark Gosselin. “However, some work requires these major closures so we encourage drivers to plan ahead if they’re traveling through the area.”
For all closures and lane restrictions, traffic control and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.
