The Hyland Hills Recreation District will close out the summer with its second annual Parkfest from 5-9 p.m. Sept. 14 at Clear Creek Valley Park, 58th and Tennyson streets.
The event will feature live music, a kid’s zone, and beer, wine and food trucks with items for purchase. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office will have their horse patrol, bicycle units and community engagement teams on hand to interact with Fest goers, and the event will feature the glow of a hot air balloons.
“The Parkfest is our way of thanking the community for their support of the park, as we now are able to enjoy it together as a community.” District spokesperson Joann Cortez said. “The weather did not cooperate last year for our inaugural event, so this year, we are believing there will be great weather and we’re treating it like our first annual event - we are all very excited about it.”
Local favorites The Hot Lunch Band are scheduled to play and two community wineries and two breweries will be on hand as well.
There will also bouncy castles for kids in addition to the natural amenities of the district’s flagship regional park.
