Festival of Lights begins

Members of Chabad of Northwest Metro Denver gathered Dec. 12 at the Orchard Town Center for the first night of Hannukah, the eight night Jewish festival of lights. The celebration included traditional food and performances of live Hanukah songs combined with fire-based perfomances and dreidel-themed fidget spinners for the kids.

The Westminster-based Chabad group is an Orthodox Jewish Hasidic congregation that offers adult education courses, Hebrew school, summer day camp, explanatory synagogue services as well as holiday awareness celebrations and outreach and counseling programs.
