Federal Heights

Traci Renee Loger, of Federal Heights, graduated in spring 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in justice studies from Fort Hays State University.

Northglenn

Erika Hamacher, of Northglenn, graduated in spring 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in medical diagnostic imaging from Fort Hays State University.

Sara Tontarski, of Northglenn, graduated in spring 2017 with an ACT and master’s degree in school psychology from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Thornton

Jacob Woodrow Abbas, of Thornton, graduated in spring 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fort Hays State University.

Adam Rusk, of Thornton, graduated in spring 2017 with a master’s degree in geosciences (remote sensing technology) from Fort Hays State University.

Jorden Comstock, of Thornton, received a $1,000 Transfer Student Scholarship from Fort Hays State University. A 2016 Legacy High School graduate and a Metropolitan State University transfer student, Comstock is the son of Jeff and Denece Comstock, He is majoring in nursing.

Roger Ross, of Thornton, recently was promoted to chief petty officer in the Navy. Ross is serving aboard Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Four. This sailor is one of only 4,400 sailors who were advanced out of 22,000 eligible this year.

Mawathage Vishwa Seneviratne, of Thornton, graduated in spring 2017 from the University of Akron with a master’s degree in electrical engineering, thesis.

Westminster

Haley Gottschalk, of Westminster, received a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in art from Fort Hays State University. A 2016 Legacy High School graduate, Gottschalk is the daughter of Troy and April Gottschalk. She is majoring in art.

André Rodriguez has been hired as the teaching artist and Shakespeare programming coordinator for the education department at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Rodriguez is a graduate of University of Northern Colorado, earning both a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in theater education and acting. His previous experience includes serving as an instructor at his alma mater, Pomona High School, and as department chair and theater education instructor at Westminster High School.

Wheat Ridge

Kelly Louise Richards, of Wheat Ridge, was named to the summer 2017 president’s honor roll at Washington State University.
