Adams County voters will get chance to meet some of the candidates on the November ballot at a forum at 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Community Reach Center, 11285 Highline Dr., Northglenn.

The forum is being hosted by the League of Women Voters of Adams County.

Candidates for Adams County offices — including Commissioner, Sheriff, Treasurer, Assessor, Coroner and Clerk — as well as candidates for state legislature seats have all been invited.

The forum will feature brief remarks from all the candidates, then an opportunity to visit individually with each candidate at tables around the room.

According to a league press release, nine candidates have confirmed that they plan to attend. They are Adams County Commissioner District 3 candidates Emma Pinter and Larry Hoy; House District 31 candidate Yadira Caraveo; House District 35 candidate Shannon Bird; and House District 56 candidates Rod Bockenfeld and David Rose.

County-wide candidates who plan to attend include: County Clerk and Recorder Stan Martin, County Assessor candidate Patsy Melonakis and County Coroner Monica Broncusia-Jordan.

Ballots for the Nov. 6 general election are scheduled to begin being mailed out on Oct. 15. Voters can mark their ballots and mail them back or drop them off at designated ballot boxes around the county or at certified polling center beginning Oct. 22.

The polls themselves will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 6.
