#Oz4ACause: Legacy drama department gives back

‘Wizard of Oz’ attendees asked to bring shoes, gift cards

Posted

Legacy High School is practicing more than just lines and songs with its upcoming spring musical “The Wizard of Oz.” The school’s drama department is practicing goodwill by teaming up with a charitable organization called Shoe Crew.

Legacy is asking audience members to bring in a shoe store gift card or new pair of shoes to donate.

Director Karen Stacks says it’s the department’s way of using their talents to give back to the community and the department is advertising on social media with the hashtag #Oz4ACause.

Thirty-six children ages 5-13 from 11 elementary and middle schools in the area have been invited to join the cast as munchkins.

Showtime is 6:30 p.m. March 7-10 at the Legacy High School auditorium, 2701 W. 136th Ave., Broomfield. Tickets can be purchased on line at http://legacy.adams12.org or at the box office on show nights. Doors open at 6 p.m.
