More than 30 community groups and floats marched July 28 as the Adams County Fair Parade returned to Brighton.

The parade stepped off just after 9 a.m. July 28 at 168th Avenue and North Main Street featuring dancers, livestock and community groups.

It’s the first time the fair has scheduled the parade, after a seven-year hiatus. Before 2011, it was the traditional kick-off to the annual fair. The fair, now in its 114th year, runs Aug. 1-5 at the Adams County Regional Park, 97556 Henderson Road, Brighton.
