Celebrate a landmark moment in our history with a “See You Later, North Building!” party on Sunday, Nov. 19. We invite you to say “goodbye, for now” to the Denver Art Museum’s iconic North Building before it undergoes renovations until 2021 with a day full of memories, activities and other creative fun.
Print your own commemorative poster with Ink Lounge, and leave your own mark in North in a Gio Ponti-inspired art space created by DAM Creative-in-Residence, Detour. Explore North Building history with image projections, and leave a love note for your favorite artworks. Groove to tunes from the year the building opened in 1971 through today, and access the sweeping views of the Front Range on the North Building’s 7th floor (weather permitting). Enjoy live dance and music performances throughout the day that celebrate DAM’s global art collections: Denver Taiko Japanese drumming, Mariachi Vasquez and more!
Free general admission all day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Note: “Her Paris” requires a special exhibition ticket.)
