Enrollment is officially open for Colorado Connections Academy schools for the 2018-19 school year and the first in-person information session in Thornton will be on Tuesday, April 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the Anythink Huron Street Library (9417 Huron St.). At this free information session, families will have an opportunity to learn about the curriculum, meet with Colorado Connections Academy faculty and thoroughly explore the school’s program. Colorado Connections Academy schools are a network of full-time, tuition-free statewide online public schools. Colorado Connections Academy @ Mapleton, in its sixteenth year providing students a flexible online learning option, serves approximately 2,400 students in grades K-12 across the state. Colorado Connections Academy @ Durango, authorized by the Durango School District 9-R, opened in the 2016-17 school year for students statewide and currently serves 550 students in grades K-11. In the 2018-19 school year, Colorado Connections Academy @ Durango will expand to serve students in 12th grade. Both schools are supported by Connections Academy and are open to students statewide regardless of where they live in Colorado. Because both are public schools, there are no tuition costs or fees to attend. Colorado Connections Academy schools offer an individualized approach to learning which combines state-certified teachers, an award winning curriculum, technology tools and socialization opportunities. Colorado Connections Academy students meet regularly in online LiveLesson® classroom sessions and have opportunities to share ideas, compare experiences, and have fun learning with their peers.
