Online school works for Abri

My granddaughter Abri has had to overcome a lot of obstacles to get to where she is today. Growing up she missed a lot of school due to instability at home. As a result, she fell significantly behind academically and for a long time struggled with having a positive connection to school.

Recently Abri and her brother moved in with me. After a negative experience at our local brick-and-mortar school, for eighth grade, Abri enrolled in Destinations Career Academy of Colorado.

For Abri, attending public school at home made all the difference in the world. Today, my granddaughter is excelling in school! Her teachers have gone above and beyond, taking her under their wing to guide her, encourage her, and help her succeed. She is getting A’s in most of her classes. And, for the first time in a long time, my granddaughter has a positive connection with school.

Online school was the right fit for Abri. Every family in Colorado should have education options like CODCA available to them. I’m beyond thankful we did.

Rogene Rivale,

Thornton
