I am a mom and resident of Leyden Rock — A majestic community where my family of 4 (and two pups) have made lifelong friends and become part of a cohesive community. Or, so we thought. At the behest of our community leaders Jefferson Parkway tollway will potentially now divide us creating danger, noise and light pollution. Its proximity a mere few car lengths away from where my children play in our yard. Distance and decibels limits are less than normal since it is a private road. It does not complete the beltway and never will. I sit in the city of Arvada and JPPHA Board meetings as we are systematically told no to our limited requests, just to line the pockets of the city of Arvada, Broomfield and Jefferson County. This is not democracy. The road makes no sense, but if it is to be built – it has to be safe and it has to be in keeping with our beautiful community.Cassie Goldfine,Arvada
