Hyland Hills has not missed a beat

I am writing to encourage residents of the Hyland Hills to vote YES on Ballot A in the upcoming May 5 election. I was the District’s Executive Director in 2002 when we asked voters to support a mill levy to improve facilities.

We were heartened by support we received from the community and passage of the bond back then. We made many promises then to provide the finest recreational services and park facilities for our residents.

Based on a master plan to chart the course, our plan included some lofty goals: Purchasing hard-to-find land for Clear Creek Valley Park, three community center renovations, park upgrades, new park signage, walkways, restrooms and more. We got to it and after completing our goals, I retired from Hyland Hills after 42 years.

The District hasn’t missed a beat. The team there now kept on course, making even more improvements and advancements to our original plan.

Now, a new master plan identifying a new set of goals for the future of Hyland Hills has been completed.

I can tell you this: the management team in place will get the job done, as promised; thoroughly, honestly, and professionally. And, they will always have a heart for Hyland Hills residents.

That’s why I say, please vote yes on Ballot A, it will be a great investment for your family and for the future of Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District
