Nursing group thanks supporters

While we find ourselves in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to thank each and every member of the community who has reached out to support the Colorado Visiting Nurse Association.

Two examples of the support we have received from our community include:

• More than 700 pounds of sterilized scrubs and clinical uniforms donated by Goodwill of Denver

• Financial support received from individuals and local foundations including the Help Colorado Now Fund and Jeffco Hope Fund

Home healthcare has always been a critical part of the health care continuum. Looking ahead, community-based home healthcare providers will be critical providers for those who are impacted by COVID-19.

As we move from being sheltered in place, we will soon be hearing of the increased need for community-based care.

Much of this care will require the skills and talents of a community-based interdisciplinary team that is skilled at providing serious illness care.

Now, more than ever before, it is time for Colorado Visiting Nurse Association to again show how we can support our community with specialized, expert care.

We could not do this without the help of our community. Thank you for your ongoing support as we provide person-centered, community-based home healthcare.

Chris Lee, President of Colorado Visiting Nurse Association
