Yes for Hyland Hill makes sense

Please vote yes on ballot A for Hyland Hills. This is not a new tax for Hyland Hills, just an extension of the current mill levy. When I think of the resident benefits we receive, it just makes sense.

My wife and I have been active Hyland Hills residents for decades. It is where we raised our family and where our kids found their own meaningful relationship with Hyland Hills — some through the excellent sports that were offered, friendships made along the way, coaching opportunities and even a first job. A job at Water World, Adventure Golf and Raceway or the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills has been a jump-off point for thousands of area kids.

Basically, we Gudenkauf's are 100% Hyland Hills because our interactions became a way of life. So many of our family memories over the years are attending a Hyland Hills program at a great park, ballfield, indoor arena or the Hyland Hills facilities that became our go-to for family fun.

Anyone who knows me also knows that I like to give back to the community. I felt so strongly about it that I actually ran for the Board of Directors of Hyland Hills and ended up serving eight years there as an elected member in the early 2000's. These folks are great and honest public servants who care about the families in the district.

For that alone, I say vote YES on Ballot A.

Roger Gudenkauf, Denver
