City council vacancies
Bill Christopher apparently thinks that what we need is an election, even though we are just now coming out of our foxholes from the last one.
Such a special election would cost up to $200,000, and two of the seats would then be up for re-election in nine months, as all you’d be doing is filling out the remaining months of the incumbent’s term.
Personally, I am very happy our bylaws are set up for just this contingency.
In November, if you’re unhappy with the new people, then vote the rascals out. A special election would be a ridiculous waste of money.
