One death after Westminster stabbing

A male in his early twenties died after a stabbing in Westminster Thursday evening.

The incident occurred at Circle K, 7484 Sheridan Boulevard, after 6:00 p.m., a department press release said. The victim entered into a confrontation with two male suspects after exiting the store.

The two suspects stabbed the victim, who died from life threatening injuries after paramedics transported him to the hospital.

The suspects fled after the confrontation. Investigators haven’t identified a description of their vehicle and license plate due to conflicting information.

The press release also said that “some information was provided to police that this may be gang related, but it is too early in the investigation to verify if that information is accurate.”

Investigators are working on identifying the suspects and their vehicle. They have closed Circle K off for about the next hour and ask residents to avoid the area.
