Thornton Police Department will host their third annual Bicycle Rodeo Extravaganza on June 25 at Carpenter Park Fields starting at 11 a.m.
The event is for 5-13-year-olds to navigate through controlled bike courses. Joe Walker, a spokesperson for Thornton Police Department said it can help young bikers.
“(Young riders) can learn and practice the basic skills needed to safely ride,” he said.
Dick’s Sporting Goods will provide a basic bicycle tune-up station and North Suburban Medical Center will offer helmet fittings.
Additionally, the event will have music, games, popsicles and a chance to win new bikes.
