As the Westminster Planning Board gets ready to hear Oread Capital’s proposal to rezone two parcels of the Pillar of Fire property around their Westminster Castle, both proponents and opponents of the submitted columns describing their takes on the project. If the planning board approves, it would be the first step on the development of the proposed Uplands project, bringing 2,350 dwelling units, as well as businesses and parks to the Shaw Heights neighborhood -- mostly between 88th and 84th avenues and Lowell and Federal boulevards. The meeting is scheduled for Dec. 17.
