Letter to the Editor: We must fight for clean energy and a healthy future

Coloradans are already seeing the negative impacts of climate change in our daily lives: decreasing air quality affecting our public health, wildfires, disrupted growing seasons for agriculture, shorter ski seasons, and lowered river flows for rafting and fishing are all changing how we live our lives and threatening things we love about Colorado.

Implementing nationally-leading climate policy that allows our state to do its part to reduce harmful carbon pollution is critical to protecting the Colorado way of life and heritage.

We have a responsibility to leave our kids and grandkids a healthy future, but climate change and air pollution are putting that at risk. The best way to address this is by implementing bold goals to reduce carbon pollution in Colorado. It is good for the health of all people who call Colorado home.

This is time to take action and put public health over polluters profits.
