Girls swimming
Westminster placed sixth in the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference swimming and diving meet over the weekend.
Cheyanna Cordova was second in the 200-yard freestyle, where her time was 2:00.02. She also took second in the 500- freestyle in a time of 5:25.74. Emily Curtis was seventh in the 100- breaststroke, posting a time of 1:27.77.
Girls basketball
Bear Creek built a big lead, then held off Westminster 51-48 March 1 in Lakewood. Mia Sanchez scored 11 points for Westminster. Lex Trujillo added 10. Imyalia Gonzales and Cali Reno led the Bears with 12 points.
Westminster walloped Adams City 67-18 March 2 in Commerce City. Trujillo scored 23 points for the Wolves. Sanchez and Ashley Alvarez added 11. Tatiana Lea and Binti Abdikadir scored five points for Adams City.
Mountain Vista beat the Wolves 68-48 March 3 in Westminster. Trujillo (22 points) and Alvarez (10 points) led Westminster in scoring. Anna Duffy had 16 points for the Golden Eagles.
Regis downed the Wolves 43-27 in Westminster March 6. No stats were available for either team.
Boys basketball
Bear Creek downed Westminster 63-40 March 1 in Westminster. Armando Gomez had 16 points for the Wolves. Robert Barron and Logan Kokai added six. Liam Franks paced the Bears with 15 points.

The Wolves rebounded for a 49-47, home-floor win against Adams City March 2. Barron paced Westminster with 24 points. No stats were available for Adams City.
